The Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks a junior/senior full-time tenure-track faculty member in Health Administration. Candidates for the position must have a high-quality scholarship record and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.
Candidates for the position will be expected to provide entrepreneurial leadership in the Graduate Program in Health Administration, which may include creating linkages with community agencies supporting student internships, building and/or catalyzing graduate education, and promoting collaboration across the other graduate and undergraduate programs within the Bloustein School and the University.


Minimum Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications
• A doctorate or the equivalent professional degree in a discipline related to health administration. The position is open to a diverse range of disciplines including economics, decision science, management/leadership, administration, or organizational behavior.
• An area of expertise that includes Health Care Information and Information Systems, Finance and Financial Management, Health insurance , Managed Care, and/or Pharmaceutical Management.
• Scholarship record commensurate with the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor at an AAU institution.
• Evidence of effective teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
• Practical (field-based) health administration experience, which may include being FACHE qualified.
• Leadership experience in either the development or support of graduate education or a health care delivery organization.
• Experience working with community-based health organizations.
• Experience supervising graduate internships.
