The Clinical Psychology Department in the Graduate School of Applied and
Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University-New Brunswick invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track appointment for Fall 2018. A core requirement is an ability to teach, supervise, and develop graduate level training models for psychodynamic psychotherapy (broadly defined). We are especially interested in someone with a record of empirical psychodynamic research. Candidates with particularly outstanding records whose research focuses on areas of clinical psychology unrelated to psychodynamic psychotherapy may be considered if they also have experience and demonstrated competence in training psychodynamic clinicians. The department intends to hire someone at the Assistant Professor rank but is open to exceptionally qualified candidates at other ranks. Attention to diversity- related issues is a central departmental value, and we particularly encourage applicants who would enhance the diversity of our faculty. The successful candidate should be eligible for psychology licensure in New Jersey.

A doctoral degree in clinical psychology;
Licensed or Licensed Eligible for the independent practice of psychology in New Jersey;
An active program of research and publications in one or more of the following areas:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Other Areas in Clinical Psychology

The ability to teach, supervise, and develop graduate level training models for psychodynamic psychotherapy (broadly defined);
The ability to provide research supervision of doctoral students;
The ability to develop and maintain an active research program;
Strong commitment to professional training of clinical psychologists.
