Posting Summary

Rutgers School of Public Health is seeking an Office Assistant II for the Dean’s Office. The Office Assistant II provides programmatic and office assistance for the day-to-day office operations, accreditation, and communications of the School of Public Health.

  • Assists with the School’s strategic planning and accreditation efforts.
  • Travels between campuses for pick up/delivery of important documents.
  • Prepares purchase orders within marketplace system.
  • Prepares travel approvals and expense reports.
  • Oversees general office administration and acts as liaison for facilities, mailroom, office maintenance, and suppliers.
  • Assists with set up and data entry for school surveys and data collection instruments.
  • Gathers, computes, compiles and interprets needed data and statistics.
  • Assists with the preparation of reports.
  • Performs typing of a legal, technical, statistical and/or tabular nature.
  • Answers telephones and responds to requests as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains charts or office documents and schedules meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completing or completed coursework for Master’s Degree in Public Health or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (SAS or SPSS).
