Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Manager, Biomaterial Collection & Manufacturing for The Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey (HGINJ). The Program Manager, Biomaterial Collection and Manufacturing is responsible and accountable for all required activities related to manufacturing kits at the Rutgers University Cell and DNA Repository.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
• Manages, guides, directs, develops and mentors the manufacturing staff reporting to him/her.
• Works closely with Quality Assurance department and develop customer focused and compliant supply chain processes.
• Prepares for and hosts internal and external quality audits of the area. Resolve all observations and deviations.
• Participates and lead the cross functional teams as required by the ever changing business demands.
• Works closely with Project Managers and others.
• Serves as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Biomaterial Collection and Manufacturing in designing, improving and manufacturing the kits.
• Develops and implements effective and efficient processes that meet or exceeds customer expectations.
• Establishes regular and reliable communication channels with internal and external customers as require.

Minimum Education and Experience

• This position requires a MS in life sciences.
• A minimum of three years of industry related hands-on experience preferably in supervisory role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to adjust in fast-paced environment with constantly changing customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy are required.
• Basic knowledge of current Good manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
• A qualified candidate will be capable of working independently to ensure all kitting related activities are completed within scope, deadline, and budget and will serve as a liaison in cross-functional matrix environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Life Sciences.
