The Division of Education at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking faculty candidates with clinical research experience to develop an educational program for clinical research for students and trainees in the Department of Medicine. Additional duties will include attending physician responsibilities on the Medical Teaching Service (MTS) at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Overview

The Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is comprised of approximately 150 paid and more than 500 volunteer faculty members organized into 11 divisions covering the major medical subspecialties: Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases; Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension; Education; Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition; Gastroenterology and Hepatology; General Internal Medicine; Hematology; Medical Oncology; Nephrology; Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; and Rheumatology.

The Department’s clinical mission encompasses inpatient and ambulatory care settings at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (the primary teaching hospital of the medical school) and at various hospital affiliates and ambulatory care sites throughout the region. Our educational mission is focused on development of the next generation of physicians who will become insightful and caring clinicians, leaders, educators and researchers in the field of medicine. Our ACGME-accredited education programs continue to thrive. We have an outstanding Internal Medicine Residency Program and fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease; Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism; Gastroenterology; Hematology/Oncology; Infectious Disease; Interventional Cardiology; Nephrology; Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; and Rheumatology.
