Posting Summary

The Assistant Store Manager for the Newark Campus will report to the store manager of kite+key, Rutgers Tech Store. Key areas of responsibility include: Administrative duties, marketing, merchandising, campus relations and providing a high level of customer service. Assisting the store manager with accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and Apple reporting.
Scheduling and training store specialists, driving sales numbers, merchandising (monitoring inventory and ordering products), and producing reports.
Extensive coordination required between the Newark and Piscataway location as well as computer repair.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

- Ability to identify and create advertising campaigns to drive sales

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

BS in business administration or a related field required or equivalent industry experience. At least two years of retail sales experience. Must be able to identify opportunities to drive sales and effectively communicate these opportunities to the store team. Must be able to assist with employee experience, on-boarding, time management, training.

Must possess the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to ensure that they are completed in a timely manner with high quality. Must be able to anticipate the impact of his or her actions, be accountable for the outcomes and ensure integrity when interacting with others.

Special Conditions

The store is open 7 days per week, this role will work Saturday and Sunday plus three days during the week, hours to be determined.
There may be travel between the Newark and Piscataway campuses.
