Posting Summary

The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is recruiting one full-time Diagnostic Radiologist who is fellowship trained in Pediatric Radiology and competent reading Body Imaging. The successful applicant will be expected to read a full spectrum of radiology services.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and ABR certification in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology. Fellowship training in Body Imaging is desired but not required. Demonstrated experience covering diagnostic radiology is acceptable.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The preferred candidates should have a full spectrum of diagnostic radiology skills including experience in General Radiography, CT, MRI, and Pediatric Radiology.

Equipment Utilized

Knowledge of the following platforms will be required:-
1. GE PACs
2. PowerScribe 360
3. EPIC

Statement

The Department of Radiology at NJMS Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey has 21 clinical faculty members and 18 residents who provide patient care for all of the major divisions of contemporary imaging.

The department is responsible for diagnostic imaging at University Hospital, the Doctors Office Center (DOC), and other NJMS affiliated clinical sites. At our various sites we utilize the full panoply of diagnostic imaging devices in all modalities including a newly introduced biplane angiography room, and state-of-the-art breast imaging equipment.

The Diagnostic Radiology component incorporates all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. The members of our attending staff are all fellowship trained board certified radiologists who provide instruction and perform clinical work in gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging, chest, breast, bone, and pediatric radiology, as well as, in nuclear medicine, neuroimaging, interventional radiology and neurointerventional radiology.

We are the oldest academic radiology program in the state and have a strong commitment to serving the needs of our Newark and expanded local community. The faculty have a deep understanding and appreciation for the unique needs of our population.
