Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Laboratory/Technical Assistant (Temporary).

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
• Works on research and development of code related to the recognition of American Sign Language (ASL).
• Develops novel computer vision and machine learning methods and demonstrates their performance by develops a close to real time algorithm and system.
•Publishes all novel methods and software related to his research.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician or research study experience carrying out research protocols and tests, or other technical work may be substituted for the degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years post PhD level of education.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Also requires very good knowledge and experience with computer vision, machine learning and related code development using C++.
• Finally, requires experience with research paper writing for top conferences and journals.
