Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Program Coordinator I. Reporting to the Sr. Department Administrator– Newark and New Brunswick.
The Program Coordinator will:
•Provide professional, executive level and confidential support with responsibility for independently developing, coordinating and implementing all activities of the day to day operations and administration of Human Capital Management and personnel matters for Rutgers Business School Newark and New Brunswick (RBS).
•Responsible in developing training programs and workshops for personnel related matters, including Rutgers Onboarding & Recruitment System (ROCS) and new supervisor training.
•Creates and distributes newsletter to highlight activities within the school for Administrative and HCM matters.
•Manages the budgets for administrative projects.
•Travel among regional campuses required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function.

Preferred Qualifications

RU programs and policies, Cornerstone, Procurement, knowledge preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint and possess excellent organizational skills in a highly demanding environment. Must be able to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions and high volume emails.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
