The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Center for Learning and Student Success, an office comprising four offices – Rutgers-Camden Learning Center, Disability Services, Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program, and TRiO Student Support Services (SSS). The Center for Learning and Student Success provides key services to students and as such, the Center for Learning and Student Success Administrative Assistant must thrive and excel in a fast-paced, high student traffic environment, and enjoy interacting with students as well as the staff in the office that support them. Although the Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to all of the above staff, the individual in this role provides primary support to the Educational Opportunity Fund and TRiO Student Support Services programs.

Minimum Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with experience working in a student service office in a college environment. Candidates with significant event management/programming experience and budget management are strongly preferred. Experience working with and supporting first-generation students college students and students with disabilities is highly desirable.
