The Department of Psychology at Rutgers University-Camden invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to start in Fall, 2018. The successful candidate will have research and teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas: (1) Behavioral Neuroscience; (2) Personality Psychology; and/or (3) Quantitative Psychology. We are a research-active faculty and seek colleagues with high potential to secure external funding while making significant contributions within their areas. Teaching responsibilities include graduate (MA) and undergraduate courses in research methods and/or statistics as well as classes focused on the candidate’s area of expertise.

The teaching load for junior faculty is 2-2, and salaries and benefits are competitive. For full consideration, applications should be submitted by 10/1/2017. Overview

The Department of Psychology offers undergraduate (B.A.) and Master’s (M.A.) degrees. The department is comprised of 15 full-time faculty members committed to educating our students and conducting high quality research. Students who pursue a degree in psychology will gain an understanding of psychological theories, research methods in psychology, and the many ways psychology can be applied to understand and improve people’s lives.
