Posting Summary

Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Eric B. Chandler Health Center. The Administrative Assistant provides a wide variety of administrative and support services, and the key duties of this position are the following:
• Processes appointment and credentialing applications for faculty working at the Health Center and its affiliate locations
• Enrolls faculty in managed care plans, collects and maintains current faculty and professional staff licensing credentials and NPI numbers under the direct supervision of the Program Administrator.
• Provides high quality administrative and support services to the Medical Director, Patient Safety Committee and Office of Administration.
• Maintains the confidential integrity of all personnel action documents and records generated through or maintained in the Office of Administration.
• Proactively reports any problems to the Medical Director and the Program Administrator requiring action, intervention or resolution.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Associate’s Degree in a related field, plus a minimum of two (2) years of full-time secretarial or administrative experience is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, is required.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve problems that require the use of basic mathematical or technical principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center or healthcare environment is preferred.
