Rutgers School of Dental Medicine is seeking a Central Sterile Technician II for the Office of Clinical Affairs. The Central Sterile Technician II maintains all aspects of sterilization procedures within the various clinical operations, related to dental instruments and supplies associated with patient care.
• Operates and monitors steam autoclaves, sonic washers and other sterilizing equipment; keeps records of loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures performed.

|Minimum Education and Experience||
One year of experience in a health care medical or dental setting or a closely related setting using sterilization procedures. New Jersey Central Service Certification is required for this position.
|Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities||
Knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, assembly, packing, and monitoring of instruments. Follows proper Standard Precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.
|Physical Demands and Work Environment||
Frequent reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Must have the ability to lift/push/pull greater than 50 pounds.
