Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse for the Juvenile Justice Commission’s Residential Program located in Bordentown, New Jersey.
The Advanced Practice Nurse ensures that the total health needs of inmates within New Jersey Department of Corrections are met, including adolescents (16 to 18 years), adults (18-64 years), and geriatrics (65+).

|Minimum Education and Experience||
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required. Graduate of an accredited college/university nurse practitioner program.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Current Certificate as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
|Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities||
Computer literacy. CPR Certification required.
Masters degree in nursing or related health field preferred.
|Physical Demands and Work Environment||
Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements. Employees will be subject to and must comply with all security regulations and procedures of NJ Department of Corrections and the assigned facility(ies) including, but not limited to sign in logs or electronic time clocks, searches of person and property, etc. Violations of NJ Department of Corrections and/or being banned by the Department of Corrections to work at a NJ Department of Corrections’ facility are grounds for a disciplinary action and potential termination.
