Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Department Nurse Manager for the Bayside State Prison located in Leesburg, New Jersey. The Department Nurse Manager will perform supervisory responsibilities for nurses across shifts on an assigned unit(s) at a facility on a consistent basis.

|Minimum Education and Experience||
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of New Jersey. A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible nursing experience, one (1) year of which shall been in specialty area of services.
|Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities||
Computer literate. Must have valid driver’s license.
Bachelor’s degree in a nursing related field is highly desirable for Department Nurse Managers assigned to physical health services. Master’s degree in a nursing related field is highly desirable for Department Nurse Managers assigned to mental health units.
|Physical Demands and Work Environment||
Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements. Employees will be subject to and must comply with all security regulations and procedures of NJ Department of Corrections and the assigned facility(ies) including, but not limited to sign in logs or electronic time clocks, searches of person and property, etc. Violations of NJ Department of Corrections and/or being banned by the Department of Corrections to work at a NJ Department of Corrections’ facility are grounds for a disciplinary action and potential termination.
