Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Technician I for the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women located in Clinton, New Jersey.
The Technician I participates as a member of the clinical and administrative medical team at the Prison.

|Minimum Education and Experience||
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program (or related skills technician program) or EMT certification or CNA certification or formal training and/or on the job experience in phlebotomy. At least two (2) years of progressively more responsible related healthcare experience involving multiple areas of knowledge, skill and abilities and demonstrating competencies to perform the essential duties of the position.
This position is subject to State Regulations regarding certification and/or licensure.
|Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities||
Computer literacy. Valid Driver’s License is required. CPR Certification.
|Physical Demands and Work Environment||
Must be approved by the Department of Corrections (DOC) and adhere to all DOC requirements. Employees will be subject to and must comply with all security regulations and procedures of NJ Department of Corrections and the assigned facility(ies) including, but not limited to sign in logs or electronic time clocks, searches of person and property, etc. Violations of NJ Department of Corrections and/or being banned by the Department of Corrections to work at a NJ Department of Corrections’ facility are grounds for a disciplinary action and potential termination.
