The School of Nursing is one of eight schools that make up the Rutgers biomedical and Health Sciences. As part of the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences division, the School of Nursing (Newark) offers unique opportunities in education, research, and practice at a leading national research university which is the state’s preeminent, comprehensive public institution of higher education.

The selected Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner will join our Advanced Practice Nursing Education Division. The position will be based in Newark, NJ. Rank, track, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and overall accomplishments.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Doctoral degree required or current enrollment in a doctoral program.

Current licensure or eligibility for RN licensure in New Jersey.

Certified for advance practice in New Jersey.
National certification and current clinical experience as Family or Adult Gerontology NP.

Strong teaching background.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates with experience teaching pharmacology, pathophysiology, and data management will be given priority. Preference will also be given to candidates who demonstrate scholarship (e.g., publications, national presentations, grant funding), and active participation in community and/or professional organizations.
