Posting Summary

Provides support to the Senior Program Coordinator for conferences unit management by organizing and coordinating daily unit operations. Coordinates the administration of programs, projects, and/or processes. Prioritizes work, resolves routine conflicts and issues, prepares and implements administrative guidelines and procedures, and provides oversight and facilitation of programs, both on- and off-site. Provides routine and non-routine information and explanations to clients and vendors. Schedules, arranges, and coordinates design and logistics for events and meetings; completes other work assigned, as applicable. May create informational materials; provide supporting research, analysis, and proposal data; prepare, process and control records, statistics, reports, and documents.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while working in a high-pressure/high energy atmosphere.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires strong organizational, administrative and time management skills and experience in a program or conference function. Requires valid driver’s license, two years driving experience, and successful completion of the university’s defensive driving course within six months of hire. Requires ability to drive to conferences, locations and meetings throughout the state.

Equipment Utilized

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel,and PowerPoint as well as ability to perform logistical research online.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Work performed in office, conference, and various program environments.
